The local ASD support group has been fantastic as we have 3 children on the spectrum and they are all different. As coming together as a group we can share ideas, therapy and support. The support goes beyond that of the group meetings. We support each others ventures and journeys.

We had lived in Blackwater previously, before our son was born, and upon hearing that we were moving back for work, we were filled with a mix of anxiety and excitement. Our son had been diagnosed while we were living in Brisbane and we worried he wouldn’t have access to the same services or support.
Thanks to CHASD we were able to find local support services as soon as we arrived in town, and have been able to settle our son into the Central Highlands with a minimum of disruption. I will always be grateful for this kind-hearted support group for making our transition so much easier!
